James Rojas

Corgan

James Rojas is Vice President with Corgan and Interiors Market Sector Leader in New York.  He is an established, recognized industry professional with over twenty-five years of experience in architecture and commercial interiors.  He received a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the University of Texas at Austin, Honors 1989.

James is a licensed professional, proficient in all phases of project delivery, possessing strong analytical, collaboration and communication skills.  He has a strong and successful record of business development, client relationship management, and studio operations.

James oversees the countless and complex details of interior architecture and design for some of Corgan’s highest profile clients.  His passion for delivering a successful project, his personality and inclusive, team-building approach has built long-lasting legacy client relationships.  James manages a diverse portfolio of clients from the financial services, banking, manufacturing, consulting, project management, consumer goods and TAMI (Technology, advertising, media, and information) sectors.

Throughout his career, James has focused his leadership skills on forging a collaborative and inclusive process for project delivery.  He has a highly successful track record by identifying project goals at the onset of the project and building collaboration and consensus throughout all phases with the client, stakeholders, brokers, contractors, and the consultants.  He brings honesty and core values to the project delivery process and is a trusted advisor to his clients and peers.

Volunteering and civic engagement are the cornerstones of our community, industry, and nation.  James embodies this belief in his professional and personal pursuits.  For the past five years, James has been actively involved with The Committee for Hispanic Children and Families (CHCF), a non-profit organization in NYC that combines education, capacity-building, and advocacy to strengthen the support system and continuum of learning for children, youth, and their families.

Through Corgan, James initiated and hosted a CHCF Pencil-Career Student Forum and has actively supported other CHCF events, such as the Annual Opening Doors for Women Luncheon and A Slice of Latin America Gala.

Additionally, James has a strong history of support for the Friends of St. Dominic’s Family Services through its Annual Dinner and Golf Tournament.

James lives in Glen Head, New York, with his family and is deeply involved in his community.  He has served a volunteer/coach with the North Shore Soccer Club and served on the Citizen’s Advisor Committee for the North Shore Board of Education.  James was also invited by the same Board to participate on the district-wide Bond Committee to develop a referendum for school health, safety, and infrastructure work.  He cares about local environmental issues and is an active member of the Coalition to Save Hempstead Harbor.

James is an active member of CoreNet-Platinum Sponsor, the National Council for Interior Design Qualifications (NCIDQ) and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA).

James is deeply humbled and proud to be honored at this year’s CHCF’s 35th Anniversary Gala.
